Chen Jia presents I Only Care About You, her 2026 tribute to Teresa Teng, often called the Far East’s first pop superstar – Teng’s songs sung with a live band in a voice remarkably close to hers.

Teresa Teng is widely regarded as one of the most culturally significant figures of the 20th-century Chinese-speaking world. Beijing-born singer-songwriter Chen Jia, who trained as a classical pianist, was invited by Teng’s brother Deng Changfu to carry on her tribute work and later signed with the Teresa Teng Foundation; she sings Teng’s repertoire in Mandarin, English, Cantonese and Hokkien.
With a live band and a staging inspired by Teng’s own concerts, the evening revisits her best-loved songs and brings back the famous audience-request segment of her shows.

Concerts beside the Forbidden City: this hall sits inside Zhongshan Park next to Tiananmen Square and offers 1,419 seats on two levels.
Few concert halls have a setting like this: Zhongshan Park, next to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Inside, 1,419 seats on two levels face a stage 23 metres wide, with an American Austin pipe organ behind it. The hall grew from a 5,000-seat open-air theatre of 1942 and was renovated by April 1999.
