Next, Grieg’s Ballade in G minor unfolds as a stirring drama of love and longing, its sweeping melodies resonating with Romantic intensity. The concert concludes with Sæverud’s Birdcall Variations, where delicate motifs intertwine to mimic songbirds in flight with shimmering precision. A recipient of the Norwegian Government Grant for Young Artists and an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, Kvam has earned acclaim from Bergen to Wigmore Hall for performances of unwavering excellence.
