The Parker is a historic performing arts theater located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It opened in 1967 as the Parker Playhouse and quickly became one of South Florida’s most iconic cultural venues. In 2021, the theater underwent a major renovation and was relaunched under the name “The Parker.” The renovation preserved its classic architectural character while adding modern lighting, sound systems, and upgraded guest amenities. The main auditorium, Lillian S. Wells Hall, seats about 1,147 people and is known for its excellent acoustics. Audience members enjoy clear sightlines and a comfortable, intimate atmosphere. The Parker presents a wide range of events, including concerts, comedy shows, dance performances, and theatrical productions.
