Overview

WetMen: Rain 2 – Declaration of Love is a Russian male water dance drama performed by the WetMen dance company. Combining contemporary dance, ballet, street dance, acrobatics and powerful stage visuals, the production uses real rain on stage to explore love, emotions, strength and vulnerability through movement and physical expression.

Rain 2: Declaration of Love is the new chapter of the famous Russian water dance project Rain, created by choreographer Rustam Nadyrshin. The production presents a poetic exploration of love from a male perspective, combining athletic power with emotional sensitivity.

The performance takes place on a unique stage covered by real falling rain. The dancers move through water, combining contemporary dance, classical ballet techniques, hip-hop, breakdance and elements of acrobatics. The interaction between the human body, water, light and music creates a visually striking theatrical experience.

Unlike a traditional dance performance, WetMen focuses on physical storytelling without spoken dialogue. Through movement and dramatic imagery, the show explores different forms of love — first attraction, passion, conflict, tenderness and emotional connection. The rain becomes a symbol of memories, transformation and sincere feelings.

The production features powerful choreography, sculptural physicality of the performers, cinematic lighting and immersive stage effects, creating a unique combination of dance, theatre and visual spectacle.
